In The Community... Toy Drive
The
1st Annual Midwest Rampage Toy Drive, co-sponsored along with Webster City Medical Center along with special help from Upper Des Moines
Opportunity and Webster City High School National Honor Society, ran for 3-weeks
in 2010 from November 26th through December 16 and the main goal was to collect
toys for underprivileged kids in Webster City. However, by accident, the
Toy Drive also expanded into a mini-food-and-winter-wear drive.
There
were eight (8) locations to drop off items throughout Webster City and included
drop boxes at First State Bank, Webster City Federal Bank, First American Bank,
Webster City Medical Center, Whoop-Ti-Doos, Pleasant View Elementary school, Sunset Heights Elementary School, and Webster City High School.
In 2011, the Rampage--again with the Medical Center, held their 2nd Annual Toy
Drive in an effort to help as many underprivileged children and families as
possible; over 250 toys were collected and then turned over to Upper Des Moines
Opportunity who distributed them to those in need.
