Darin
Eklund, PA-C TEAM
PHYSICIAN
Darin not only serves as the Midwest
Rampage's Team Physician, but also as the Team President/GM as well as the
Director of Game Day Operations. Darin's contributions to the
Rampage--along with his wife, Ayn--are virtually immeasurable and literally
without either of them competition day would not go as smooth as it did for the
2010 season.
A 1990 graduate of North Pole High School
(AK), he then attended the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where he worked as a
trainer for the Nanook hockey and basketball teams. After transferring to
Oregon State University, Darin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's
Degree in Exercise & Sports Science in 1995. While at OSU, Darin Wokred
with the football and women's soccer programs while also spending his summers
working with the Alaska Goldpanners baseball program which has a long history of
developing future major league baseball players.
Darin earned a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 1998 from the University of Iowa and
has been living in Webster City ever since where he works as a P.A. at
Webster City Medical Clinic.
Darin and Ayn have two sons: Ty and Tavis. |
Dr. James Kumm,
D.C., CCSP
ATHLETIC TRAINER & CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. James Kumm, the
Rampage's athletic trainer and team physician, is a 1986 graduate of Harlan High School. He first earned his Bachelor of Science in Science Education from the University of Iowa in 1991 before attending Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota, from which he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1994. Dr. Kumm also attended NWCC in 1998 and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Dr. Kumm has been helping out athletics at Webster City High School in the fall of 1997 when he began to assist Dan Willard and the football squad
and since has become the official Volunteer Trainer and Team Physician for
Webster City Athletics. Dr. Kumm has practiced his profession at North Central Chiropractic
since 1997, a business in which he is the President,
and is a member of the Webster City Sports Boosters.
Kumm and his wife, Niki, have two children: Megan (9) and Max (5).

Dan "Doc" Willard,
ATC ATHLETIC
TRAINER
Daniel
“Doc” Willard has been a trainer for the Webster City Lynx Football program for
over 38 years since he first came to Webster City in 1970 after graduating from
William Penn College. A 1964 graduate of Marshalltown High School (IA), Willard
was employed by the Webster City School District for 32 years as an elementary
physical education teacher and athletic trainer.
Willard both earned his Masters
from Northern Iowa University and was recognized by the National Athletic
Trainer Association as being a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1976. Since then,
he had been a Certified Athletic Trainer for countless events such as the 1993
NCAA Division I Wrestling Meet, 1995 AAU Junior Olympics, and the 2008 NCAA
Division I Track & Field Championships. As well, Willard has provided Trainer
Coverage for the Drake Relays since 1978 as well as the Iowa High School Girls’
Softball Tournament.
In 2005, Mr. Willard earned the “Distinguished Service
Award” from the Iowa High School Football Coaches Association for his long
service of athletic training help. For the past 20 years, Dan has been an EMT
for both Hamilton Hospital and Trinity Regional Hospital in both Webster City
and Fort Dodge. Recently married to Diane, Mr. Willard has two sons from a
previous marriage: Mark and Chad.
